Recommendation of the sci-fi movies I liked: Children of men
I love movies, is one of my great passions, and apocalyptic films like “The Road” or I would suggest, Children of Men, are two perfect examples of what can give of the genre of science fiction.
I am aware that maybe a movie is not 100% science fiction, no ships or lasers, but I think any film that shows a different future, more or less realistic could be included in this genre. Perhaps I value this kind of films that trying to show a future more or less reasonable, not a movie like that just Ultraviolet is set in the future to justify a series of action scenes, special effects and fighting. And let me say that this movie is stupid in every way.
As I said, I recommend Children of Men directed by Alfonso Cuarón and starring Clive Owen, Michael Caine and Julianne Moore. A black future, dirty, but very realistic, do not expect to see spaceships in the skies, you will see helicopters. And attention a superb photography and a spectacular final sequence without cuts.

THE MOST IMPORTANT PROJECT IS COMING SOON
Since in 2010 I started my collaboration with the company 3DATA and “founded” LaTroupe Studios have worked in various mobile applications, especially for iPhone.
We develop our first application dedicated to the classic movie Blade Runner creating the Voight-Kampff test for iPhone. The VKtest that is the name of the application, simulating a test that appears in the film and performed to discover the Replicators (if you have seen the film you will know that I‘m talking about).
Our second application is in the oven: EasyChef, Mediterranean Edition. It’s still in development but in a few weeks we hope to upload to the App Store for approval. EasyChef is an application of reverse search recipes: Select the ingredients that we like cooking and the application will show all the recipes that we can do.
Our third application is also developing a partnership with the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and is focused to a very specific sector of engineering. At the moment I can not give more details but I hope that in a few weeks also may be available for download from the App Store.
There are other projects flying in our office: a casual game for iPhone and iPad, our second collaboration with the UPC but have not yet begun.
But as Steve Jobs did in his Keynotes, that’s not all…
THE GAME
I’m involved in a great adventure. Perhaps the most ambitious project I’ve ever imagined. In LaTroupe we are a die-hard fans of science fiction. Although we are from different generations films like Star Wars, Indiana Jones and The Planet of the Apes, games like Another World, World of Warcraft or Half Life have done we have a common nexus between us.
For some months we are preparing a game that will be released for iPad, Mac and iPhone (and if it works for other platforms such as PC). A platform game of science fiction with interactive cutscenes. As we call: a play within a movie.
I finished the script (made with a writer of Sevilla), the story begins the game, characters, stages arcade, puzzles, a soundtrack like hollywood… is very close to actually initiate the adventure. I hope to create a unique product designed especially for mobile devices with touchscreen.
Even I can not reveal his name, but hopefully in a few months to start promoting that we hope will be one of your favorite diversions.
If you like science fiction and platform games stay tuned because the adventure will begin shortly.

Steve Jobs 1955 - 2011 Today was a rare day. When this morning I learned of the death of Steve Jobs was not aware of what really happened. As days passed I realized that we left one of those that marked an era of computing, we should all power be here, working or enjoying the products and services offered. They say that Steve Jobs was a visionary, a man ahead of his time. I would add something else: perhaps we are dealing with an icon of modern society, with its strengths and weaknesses, its quirks and character, perhaps a little eccentric and lonely … but a genius he was able with Steve Wozniak to create the foundations of computing and of course to found Apple, one of the most innovative companies in recent years and has provided and will provide to society, new ways of understanding technology and make it closer to everyone. Apple was Steve Jobs and his loss is irreparable, but Apple are also thousands of people worldwide every day design, think, make and sell products with a seal inconfindible. Thank you very much for making our life a little easier.
Simplify + Analyze + Test + Analyze + Simplify + Test… and then open your MAC (not your PC) and start your application.
